FINDALAXPARTNER

Policies, safety & etiquette

Last updated July 29, 2026. These rules apply to everyone who uses FindALacrosseTrainingPartner and to every session arranged through it. By creating an account you agree to them.

1. Age policy — 18 and over

Accounts are for adults aged 18 or older. You must confirm you are 18+ to sign up. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create a profile, swipe, message, or book sessions, and we will remove accounts we believe belong to minors.

Youth players and parental supervision. A parent or legal guardian may hold the account and arrange sessions on behalf of a player under 18. In that case the parent or guardian must be physically present and supervising for the entire session, and must tell the other participants in advance that a minor is training. Adults must never arrange or attend a one-on-one session alone with someone else's child. Sessions listed as youth-friendly are still adult-supervised sessions — the supervising adult, not FindALacrosseTrainingPartner, is responsible for the minor at all times.

We do not run background checks, verify identity, confirm coaching credentials, or vet anyone on this platform. Meet in public, well-used fields, tell someone where you are going, and use your judgement.

2. Use at your own risk — liability disclaimer

Lacrosse is a contact sport with an inherent risk of serious injury, including concussion, broken bones, dental and eye injuries, heat illness, and in rare cases death. You participate voluntarily and entirely at your own risk.

FindALacrosseTrainingPartner is an introduction and scheduling tool only. We do not organize, host, coach, supervise, referee, insure, or inspect any session, field, or participant. Any session you attend is a private arrangement between the players involved.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindALacrosseTrainingPartner, its operators, and its contributors disclaim all liability for any injury, death, illness, property damage, theft, loss, or dispute arising out of your use of the platform or attendance at any session. You agree not to hold us responsible for the conduct, statements, skill level, or safety practices of any other user.

Nothing on this site — including the session playbook, drill progressions, and coaching cues — is medical, coaching, or professional advice. Consult a physician before starting any training program.

3. Safety expectations

  • •Wear appropriate protective equipment for the session type. Mouthguards are required for any contested or contact reps; goalies must wear full kit for any live shots.
  • •Do not play through a suspected concussion, and never let a partner do so. When in doubt, sit out.
  • •Warm up before contact or full-speed shooting. Every playbook template starts with one for a reason.
  • •No contact drills without both players explicitly agreeing to them beforehand.
  • •Bring your own water and stop the session in unsafe heat, lightning, or field conditions.
  • •Carry your own health insurance. There is no coverage provided through this platform.

4. Community etiquette

  • •Show up on time, or cancel in the app as early as you can. Repeated no-shows get accounts removed.
  • •Be honest about your skill level and position — matching only works if ratings are truthful.
  • •Respect the field: check whether a permit is required, yield to scheduled teams and youth programs, and leave when your slot ends.
  • •Pack out everything you bring in. Cones, bottles, tape, and trash go home with you.
  • •Keep messages about lacrosse. Harassment, sexual advances, discriminatory language, spam, and unsolicited commercial pitches are grounds for removal.
  • •Do not share another player's contact details, photos, or location with anyone outside the app.

5. Balls, gear, and lost equipment

You are responsible for your own equipment. Sticks, balls, goals, nets, rebounders, and anything else you bring to a session remain your responsibility. FindALacrosseTrainingPartner is not responsible for gear that is lost, damaged, stolen, or mixed up.

  • •The host says up front how many balls they are supplying. If you use someone else's balls, you help collect them.
  • •Every session ends with a sweep. Nobody leaves until the ball count is reconciled — woods, fences, storm drains, and behind the cage included.
  • •If you lose or damage another player's ball or gear, you replace it or reimburse them at fair value, promptly. This is a community norm we take seriously.
  • •Balls left on a field are a hazard for the next group. Never abandon them.
  • •Mark your balls and sticks so they can be sorted at the end of a session.

6. Reporting and enforcement

Report unsafe behaviour, harassment, suspected minors, or gear disputes through the app. We may suspend or remove any account, at our discretion, for breaking these rules. We can moderate accounts and content, but we cannot control what happens on a field.

These policies may change; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
